I'm officially a licensed esthetician in the state of New York!

Being licensed means I can legally take clients and touch faces and it is a state-by-state determination. Meaning: when I first got my license in Massachusetts, I was ONLY licensed in that state, no others. The licensing is mostly for proper sanitation practices rather than your actual skillset or ability to give a good face massage. Funny fact: folks who work at a makeup counter who aren't licensed legally can't touch your face. They can only apply it to your hand or arm or some other extremity.
